Private Instruction

Desert Wind Kiteboarding is all about getting people into kite sports. Our Professional Air Sports Association (PASA) certified instructors teach kiteboarding (water), snowkiting (snow) & land kiting (land) in the best kiting locations around the world. Because of our nearly 12 year commitment to traveling, kiting and helping others get into kite sports, our kite instruction is structured a little differently than you may have seen elsewhere.

Instead of catering to the crowds, we offer private instruction with one-on-one only lessons in the world’s best kiteboarding locations. How does this work? Well, if you would like to learn to kite, want to learn in some of the best kiting locations in the world, want one professional instructor there for you and you alone so you can progress safely and at your pace, and would like a vacation in paradise to boot, then DWK instruction is for you. Although there are outfits out there that are less expensive, few, if any, can accommodate your schedule and your needs so thoroughly while delivering the best and most personalized private instruction possible.

Because all our lessons are totally private for just one person at a time, we are able to travel either to you or with you to get you on the path to kiteboarding. If you would like to learn in your own back yard and the conditions are suitable, we can accommodate you. If you are open to traveling then meet us in one of the world class kiteboarding destination that we frequent like Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, South Padre Island, Texas or the Turks and Caicos Island in the Caribbean, among many others. Kite sports are some of the most enjoyable & rewarding sports out there, but getting going can be daunting. We are committed to a fun and very safe learning environment and since all of our lessons are one-on-one, each student can learn at his/her own pace.

Rates & Travel

If you would like to book a private kite lesson with us, here are some things to keep in mind:

• When you travel to learn to kite with us, you need to come for a minimum of 5 days (not including travel days). This means you will likely have wind for at least some, if not most, of your trip. But of course, wind can never be guaranteed.
• You are responsible for your airfare, accommodation and all other non-kiting related expenses.
• We supply all equipment save booties for your feet and a shorty wetsuit should one be needed.
• Rates start at $1,000/week.
