Amazing Riding in SPI TEXAS

Goerge, a friend from Alaska, and I arrived here in South Padre Island, Texas on Monday for 2 weeks of riding and working with students. On our first day we found sun, warm water, waist high waves and 18 mph of wind from the south. Wow! We rode from the beach a block from our house downwind 8 miles then hitchhiked back for another run. The waves were small but we tore them up, George on his Ocean Rodeo Mako and I on a 16$ skimboard we got from a gas station. The New Fin System From Nobile

A game changing fin system? Polish kiteboard manufacturer, Nobile, has release a brand new fin system for 2012. Kite industry folks like to throw around the term "game changer," as in: "our new so and so will be a game changer." But most ideas released in the last two years have been anything but--this one might indeed be a game changer though... I will not elaborate anymore, just watch the videos below.

Skimboard Kiting in Delaware

This last weekend I charge out to the Delaware coast to try out the new skimboards from DB Skimboards. Things couldn't have gone better--the wind kicked up to 22 mph within an hour of my arrival, the tide was out and though the air was cool, the water was warm. I was in heaven. I found that the smaller wakeskate-style board felt pretty small and although it was easy to spin and ollie, it was hard to keep on the surface when the water got deep. Hey DWK fans, This is our new site. We hope you like it! But obviously it's not done and we are working hard to make is perfect. But since we are imperfect we are slower than we should be in getting things "pimped out." So, bear with us and just call or email if you have any questions or comments.
